Prof. Dr. Ramesh GP has over two decades of academic and professional experience. He is currently serving as the Professor and Head of the Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) department at St. Peters Institute of Higher Education and Research in Chennai, a position he has held since December 19, 2012. Prior to this, he was the Associate Professor and Head of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) at SRM University, Ramapuram, Chennai, from June 4, 2010, to November 20, 2012. He also worked as an Assistant Professor and Head of EEE at Loyola Institute of Technology, Chennai, from May 14, 2007, to April 30, 2010. His international experience includes serving as an Assistant Professor at INTI College, Sarawak, Malaysia, from September 24, 2003, to April 30, 2007. Earlier in his career, he held positions as an Assistant Professor at Sree Sastha Institute of Engineering and Technology from June 10, 2002, to September 16, 2003, and at St. Peters Engineering College, Chennai, from November 18, 1998, to May 31, 2002.

Research Interests:

Prof. Dr. Ramesh GP specializes in developing advanced engineering systems with a focus on microstrip antennas, wireless communication technologies, energy harvesting, and IoT applications. His work includes designing efficient routing techniques for wireless sensor networks and secure video transmission methods for IoT devices.

Dr. Miral Sabry Al-Ashry, Ph.D., is a distinguished academic and scholar in the field of media studies and journalism. She has been recognized for her outstanding contributions to social sciences, particularly through her groundbreaking research on women’s issues. In 2023, she received the prestigious Egyptian State Prize from the Academy of Scientific Research and the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

Dr. Al-Ashry currently holds two prominent positions in academia. Since March 2023, she has been serving as a Professor and co-lead for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) at the Centre for Freedom of the Media within the Department of Journalism Studies at the University of Sheffield. Additionally, she is a Professor at the Journalism and Mass Communication Department of the School of Global Affairs and Public Policy (GAPP) at The American University in Cairo, where she began her tenure in September 2023. Additionally, she investigates the role of media in shaping public perceptions and behaviors, with a keen interest in promoting ethical journalism practices and enhancing digital security awareness. Her work also delves into the intersection of tourism, youth perceptions, and coping behaviors during times of crisis, contributing valuable insights to the fields of tourism studies and public health. Overall, Prof. AlAshry’s research endeavors reflect her commitment to advancing knowledge, promoting social justice, and addressing contemporary challenges facing communities worldwide.
