Mrs. Widaryanti holds a comprehensive academic background in Accountancy, starting with her Bachelor’s degree from Diponegoro University (UNDIP) from 1999 to 2004, where she completed a thesis titled “Analysis of the Effect of Quality Costs on Sales.” She further pursued her Master’s degree at the same university from 2008 to 2010, focusing on the “Analysis of Factors Affecting Corporate Internet Reporting.” Currently, she is working towards her Ph.D. in Accountancy at Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UNISZA), with her ongoing research exploring “Political Connections, Risk Management, and Firm Performance.”

Professional Experience:

Mrs. Widaryanti’s professional journey is marked by a series of progressive roles in academia. She began her career as an Expert Assistant on April 1, 2007. By August 31, 2010, she had advanced to the position of Assistant Professor 200, and by November 1, 2018, she achieved the rank of Assistant Professor 300. Her administrative roles have included serving as the Secretary of the Accounting Study Program at STIE Pelita Nusantara Semarang from 2012 to 2016, Head of the Accounting Study Program from 2017 to 2021, and Vice Chairman of Academic Affairs from 2021 to 2025. Additionally, she has been the Chief Editor of the EMBA Focus Journal since 2021.

Research Interests:

Mrs. Widaryanti’s research interests lie primarily in the field of accountancy, with a focus on various aspects that influence corporate performance and governance. Her research areas include the impact of quality costs on sales, factors affecting Corporate Internet Reporting, political connections, risk management, and firm performance. She is particularly interested in the development of performance improvement models for MSMEs through innovation, efficient operation processes, and customer relationship maintenance. Additionally, she explores the influence of company characteristics on the transparency of good corporate governance and the effect of corporate governance mechanisms on the timeliness of corporate internet reporting.

Community Service:

Mrs. Widaryanti is also dedicated to community service, having engaged in various initiatives funded by higher education. Notable projects include a 2021 PKMS initiative for Kriwakz Wader Rawa Salatiga Fish Chips, a 2015 IBM entrepreneurship program for orphanages to enhance creativity and independence among foster children, a 2022 accounting training for the Angkasa Pura Employee Cooperative, and an international community service project with SMEs in Suriname in 2024.
