Prof. Ashebir Gogile Zengele is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biology at WSU, Wolaita Sodo, Ethiopia. Professional Experience:

Assistant Professor: Since November 2015, Prof. Zengele has served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biology at WSU, Wolaita Sodo, Ethiopia. In this capacity, he has been involved in developing multidisciplinary approaches to education, ensuring high-quality teaching, and enhancing research and student experiences.

Associate Dean: From December 2017 to September 2018, he held the position of Associate Dean at the College of Natural and Computational Sciences (CNCS) at WSU, Ethiopia. This role involved leadership responsibilities in academic management and strategic decision-making.

Internal Quality Assurance Coordinator: In June 2016 to December 2017, Prof. Zengele served as the Coordinator of the Internal Quality Assurance and Enhancement Office at CNCS, WSU. Graduate Assistant and Researcher: From August 2008 to 2015, Prof. Zengele worked as a Graduate Assistant I, later transitioning to a Lecturer and Researcher role at Mizan-Tepi University in the Department of Biology. Additionally, he is involved in biotechnology and bioinformatics research, exploring applications like gene editing, genetic engineering, and bioinformatics analysis for addressing biological challenges. Another area of interest is ecology and environmental science, where Prof. Zengele investigates ecological interactions, biodiversity conservation, and the impact of environmental factors on living organisms.
