Dr. Ambaye furthered his academic journey by completing his PhD in Applied Developmental Psychology at Addis Ababa University’s School of Psychology in 2014.

Professional Experience

Dr. Demeke Ambaye has accumulated extensive teaching experience throughout his career, primarily in the field of psychology. His university work experience began in June 2007 at Debre Markos University, where he served as a teacher in the Department of Psychology until January 2018. During this time, he played a pivotal role in advising students, delivering lectures on various psychology courses, and teaching research and statistics courses to both undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Since January 2018, Dr. Ambaye has continued his teaching career at Bahir Dar University, where he continues to impart knowledge and expertise in psychology to his students.

In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Dr. Ambaye has been actively involved in providing training sessions to professionals in different sectors. He conducted training sessions for Debre Markos University staff on quantitative and qualitative research methods in clinical trials. Furthermore, he delivered research training to Amhara regional justice research officers and Amhara Regional police college instructors, focusing on quantitative and qualitative research methodologies and approaches.
