Assoc. Prof. Dr. Enyew Amare Zereffa is an accomplished academic with expertise in the field of Chemistry. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree from Addis Ababa University in 1998, followed by a Master’s degree in Inorganic Chemistry from the same institution in 2005. Later, he pursued his PhD in Inorganic & Analytical Chemistry at Andhra University, completing it in 2013.

Dr. Zereffa has made significant contributions to academia throughout his career. He has served as a lecturer at various universities, including Dilla University and Adama Science and Technology University in Ethiopia. Over the years, he has taught a wide range of courses in chemistry, mentored numerous undergraduate and graduate students, and conducted extensive research in his field.

In addition to his teaching and research roles, Dr. Zereffa has also taken on administrative responsibilities, such as serving as the associate dean for Research Project Management at Adama Science and Technology University. He has been recognized for his scholarly achievements and was promoted to the academic rank of associate professor in December 2019.

During his tenure, Dr. Zereffa demonstrated leadership acumen by assuming the role of Head of the Chemistry Department for a duration of two years. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, he actively engaged in committee activities, contributed to curriculum development, and supervised both undergraduate and graduate students, offering invaluable mentorship and guidance. Transitioning to Adama Science and Technology University in 2016, Dr. Zereffa assumed the position of Assistant Professor of Inorganic Chemistry. Here, he continued to deliver advanced courses, mentor students, and undertake research endeavors. Notably, he served as the Associate Dean for Research Project Management, overseeing university-funded projects, evaluating research proposals, and facilitating project reporting. Dr. Zereffa’s contributions extend beyond academia, as evidenced by his roles as an associate editor in chief for a scientific journal and his participation in scientific ethical committees. Throughout his career, he has exhibited exceptional leadership, research prowess, and dedication to advancing the fields of Chemistry and Applied Natural Sciences.
