Mr. Tamiru Alene has a wealth of professional experience in nursing and education. He began his career as a professional nurse at Besheno Primary Hospital, where he served from October 2015 to May 2018. During this time, he gained valuable hands-on experience in clinical practice and patient care. Following his role as a nurse, Mr. Alene transitioned to academia, joining Injibara University as an Assistant Lecturer in May 2018. His responsibilities included providing lectures on various topics such as research methods, child health, paediatrics, neonatal nursing, reproductive health, nursing and midwifery ethics, biostatistics, and epidemiology. He also played a key role in advising research thesis works for both masters and undergraduate students.In August 2021, Mr. Alene advanced his career further by assuming the position of Lecturer of Paediatrics and Child Health Nursing at Injibara University, where he continues to excel in teaching, community service, research, and student supervision. Additionally, he took on the role of Head of the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health Nursing in July 2022, where he coordinates undergraduate students in their class and research activities, leads quality clinical service, pre-service education, research, and community service engagement, and organizes and facilitates operating committees meetings. His extensive experience and dedication to healthcare and education make him a valuable asset in his field.
